Introducing PASKR Submittals 2.0

 New enhancements available now!

Submittals

Today we deployed a greatly enhanced Submittals experience! You will notice that we gather all of the typical information you are use to entering into a Submittal. However, we have added a few new features & enhancements. You can now drag and drop Submittal attachments into the Submittal, as well as easily copy contacts you wish to include in the loop of the Submittal process, regardless of whether they are a contact for the project. Lets dive deeper into the specifics.

Enhanced: Look & Feel

First and foremost, you’ll notice a new look and feel. We’re rolling out the same great pattern and experience you’ve been having with RFIs & Meetings into Submittals. We’ve completely streamlined the search-ability, readability, and submittal creation / management process.

Submittals New Feature: No Sign In Required - Architects, Owners, Engineers, & Superintendents\

We hear it all the time… “Our ‘insert stakeholder here’ won’t log in or use the system of record.” We feel we have tackled that problem. How, you might ask? By getting rid of the log in all together. Now your architects, owners, engineers, or superintendents no longer have to log in or remember their password to respond to or approve / reject a submittal. Instead inside the Submittal e-mail notification there is a “magic link” that the user can click to immediately authenticate with PASKR and be taken to the approval or reject screen.

New Feature: Auto-capture e-mail response tracking!!!

A lot of construction communication happens via e-mail. In our opinion, too much. However, fear no more. PASKR will now capture any and all e-mail responses related to the submittal.

Enhanced: Add & Manage Submittal Packages

Quickly bring in all the packages available in a project based on the cost codes used in the bidding module. Or ideally the specifications you’ve uploaded to the PASKR plan room. You can add your packages and even create a Default list of Submittal Packages. Begin by choosing package options from the left by clicking on them to move them into the project. Notice at the bottom you have a checkbox to add these packages to the Default list of Submittal Items in Packages for all future projects.

Enhanced: Adding Items to a Submittal Package

You can now add items to your packages and even create a Default list of Items in your Submittal Packages. Click on the ellipse icon to the right of the Submittal Package on the Submittal List. You will see the option to Add Item Package.

Enhanced: Workflow — (assignments for review & submission)

Control and customize your submittal workflow. We’ve given you the option to assign roles to the responsible party inside the submittal. Thus, allowing for any number or combinations of workflows. (Eg: you can now have multiple “approvers” or “reviewers” or any other combination you can think of!). We also added a distribution list feature to your submittal. Essentially you can now “cc” or “distribute” the submittal to anyone from your contacts into the submittal workflow. We believe this will help keep your project teammates in the know and eliminate surprises.

New Feature: Multiple-Attachments

We’ve also added the ability to add multiple attachments to the submittal assignments workflow.

Enhanced: Requesting Submittal & Submitting to Architect:

You will be able to request the Submittal from your Subcontractor as well as Send the Submittal to Approval Contacts with ease. Select the gear ‘settings’ icon in the upper right hand corner to find all the same options & settings you’ve grown accustom too.

What’s Next:

I believe that is it for now. More updates coming soon! As always, we can’t wait to see what you build.
